Pastor' Thoughts

Ecclesiastes 1:1-9,
There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens:

A time to be born and a time to die,
A time to plant and a time to uproot,
A time to kill and a time to heal,
A time to tear down and a time to build,
A time to weep and a time to laugh,
A time to mourn and a time to dance,
A time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
A time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
A time to search and a time to give up,
A time to keep and a time to throw away,
A time to tear and a time to mend,
A time to be silent and a time to speak,
A time to love and a time to hate,
A time for war and a time for peace.

This passage of Scripture talks about all that happens in our lifetime.
We are born but will die. It is springtime and planting gardens is
happening all around. We weep when we lose someone. We search for happiness and that can be found only in Christ. As you read this

passage, I think we can all identify with each comparison in some way.
The positives of this passage of comparisons are where I want to be as
I serve the Lord.

We are enjoying Springtime now. We have been through Lent, Holy
Week and Easter. Christ is risen, he is risen indeed! The flowers are blooming and the pollen is all around. We are experiencing the

beautiful creation God has made. At the same time there is war all
over the world, people killing, and people hating one another. We are called to be the light in a dark world. Are we the light we are called

to be? Many of us are in the winter season of our lives. We have those
we love in the summer, spring, and fall of their lives.

Are we the example of Christ’s love we are called to be? Let us be
the disciple we are called to be in this dark world.

Blessings and love,
Pastor Stephanie and Jack
